What the summer program includes.
Minnesota Motion creates multiple teams within each program so athletes can train with their team and play other Motion teams through scheduled game days throughout the season.
Competitive, tryout-based teams.
The high school program is a 6–8 week season starting in mid-June, with scheduled game days throughout the season. Motion will create multiple high school teams, and those teams will play other Motion teams during the season.
Athletes who make a roster will be placed on teams of 8–12 and practice two times per week. The high school program is tryout-based, and athletes must make a team to be placed on a roster.

Middle school athletes will be placed on teams of 8–12 and practice two times per week. Athletes will go through a tryout and placement process, but everyone who continues through the process will make a team.

Local and regional tournament opportunities.
Minnesota Motion will form all-star teams for both middle school and high school athletes. These teams are selected from athletes across the program and are built for local and regional tournament opportunities.
All-star teams will not practice on a consistent weekly schedule, but will come together for tournament events when opportunities are available.
